Poppets! It’s the second day of the first work week of 2021 and I’m already dreaming of quitting life to run a goat ranch in Pescadero. Do I know anything about farming or goats or living outside of a city? I sure don’t. But a gal can dream of something beyond doomscrolling and endless inboxes!

Today is the Georgia special election and tomorrow is the certification of the Electoral College votes (or as Axios states, A tense, tectonic 48 hours. So yea, I’m pretty distracted right now. God help us.Â
And just cuz I love to compound my anxiety (I’m an overachiever, can you tell?) I’ve been spending way too much time reading about the new COVID strain, and this information is greatly contributing to my near-year-developed state of introversion. Stay in, folks, and protect us all.Â
Ugh, and now I’m reading about the importance of ventilation in preventing spread but how it’s an absolutely amorphous and hard to measure thing, I THINK I’M INFO SPIRALING, PEOPLE.Â
Y’all know I rely on TikTok for escape / learning all of the new lingo my old self will never learn in the wild. Well, our favorite Taylor Lorenz did an awesome overview of why TikTok is SO culturally significant, on so many levels.Â
