🎵🎶Guide Dog School Dropout 🎶🎵
Darlings, I was out of fresh coffee beans (silly past Amy) and busted out my emergency instant coffee (clever past Amy) so I’m feeling feisty this morning (caffeinated present Amy.)
FYI: the Missive will likely be on hiatus Tuesday through Friday next week as I staff a client conference.
So let’s do this!
Heck yea ACLU and EFF: “a federal court in Boston ruled today that suspicionless searches of travelers’ electronic devices by federal agents at airports and other U.S. ports of entry are unconstitutional.”
In a new Gallup poll, 34 million American adults report knowing someone who passed away in the last five years after not receiving health care due to an inability to pay for it. As someone who just elected her 2020 health care plan through a generous employer but still saw her costs rise across the board this year, tell me again why we all need to keep our private insurance instead of moving to a single payer system?
I don’t normally wish ill upon anyone, but I can’t help but laugh at how “the president’s large adult son” is having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad book tour. And if you’re wondering what Junior has done to deserve writing a book, “not having anything substantive to say has never prevented anyone from writing a book ever… He needed something to sell besides his father, his last name, and his bedbug-infested hotels, and so a book was born.” And in case you didn’t know, Molly Jong-Fast is a GREAT writer.
And finally, I really, REALLY love when stories and their graphic headers are seemingly written just for me: Inside The World Of Guide Dog Dropouts. And can someone tell me why dogs of the doodle variety aren’t trained to be guard dogs? OH WAIT, THIS ARTICLE DOES: “Although poodles are capable of being good guide dogs, they’re typically only used for individuals with severe allergies because they need a lot of grooming.” I’ll groom them!!! Give me your good good poodle dropouts and I’ll keep them SO pretty!!!
You’re great. Be kind to each other.
xoxo Amy
