I’m Back In The OMG, I REALLY WANNA HUG SOMEONE Phase Of The Pandemic. My Goodness, I Miss Other Humans.
Darlings! I am still very much behind on my reading, but am happy to share a few things catching my eye this morning. TO THE INTERNET!
I got very, very excited when I saw that Costco Is Now Administering COVID-19 Vaccines, because I thought about the perfect day my dad could have getting his vaccine at his favorite place (Thrillist). But then I remembered that this is happening in the US, and that my parents in Alberta aren’t likely to get theirs until April… soooooo UGH.
Good: S.F. school board president: Renamings are on hold, reopening is our priority. (San Francisco Chronicle)
Today, in “yes, we can still punish concentration camp guards seven and a half decades after WWII,” Tennessee Man Who Served as Nazi Camp Guard Is Deported to Germany. (The New York Times)
Gotta love headlines like this: Elon Musk, Who Moved to TX For Less Regulation, Is Furious That the Power Went Down. And I live for the subhead: It's almost like regulations exist for a reason. (Futurism)
This home in South Lake Tahoe has secrets, and I am here for them. (Zillow)
And finally, this past weekend a 139-year-old Victorian home was moved a few blocks in San Francisco and it was SO DARNED COOL to see (from the crowds to the perfect weather to the applause every time it moved a couple of feet!) so you should watch the video. And here’s a super cool piece on other Bay Area homes that have been moved! History is cool, kids! (San Francisco Chronicle)
Stay safe, wear your mask, be kind to yourself.
xoxo Amy
