Those Post-Holiday Inbox Blues Require Extra Coffee This Morning.
Howdy, friends! I hope you had a restful long weekend, and that your entry back in to work wasn’t too difficult. I took PTO yesterday for Rosh Hashanah and while it was reflective and celebratory to spend time (virtually) in morning services and (safely distanced IRL) at afternoon Tashlich services in Crissy Field by the Golden Gate bridge, I know that I’m walking into an inbox garbage fire shortly. So let’s get to it!
People need to get vaccinated for so so so so so many reasons, but also because I want to feel comfortable seeing this simulated bus chase through SF - and everything is all about me, of course: Behind the scenes of the ‘Shang-Chi’ bus chase through San Francisco — from the film’s director. (San Francisco Chronicle)
We are living in the worst timeline: Trump’s Plot to Steal Arizona Was Even Wilder Than We Thought (VICE)
I’m in PR. Hey PR folks, this is an example of over management backfiring: Commentary: Why this bizarre email represents larger problems at MOCA (Los Angeles Times)
Today, in “now you know”: The CIA Spy Who Reinvented the Travel Guide (The Daily Beast)
And finally, don’t mess with Hawaii’s travel screening restrictions, ok?: Illinois Woman Busted for Fake Vaccine Card Allegedly Claimed to Have Gotten the ‘Maderna’ Shot (Law and Crime)
Also, um, so… I have a new furry addition to my home dropping Oct 1! She’s a Springer Spaniel / Poodle mix (a springerdoodle or sproodle) from Dollie’s Doodles in Utah, and I am just so excited to have a canine adventure partner again. Meet Orca! (And since I am a millennial, she obvi already has her own instagram: orcathesproodle)
Be kind to yourself, won’t you?
xoxo Amy
