To Be Honest, Some Days, Don't We All Just Chug Along Like A Train? TOOT TOOT.
Sweethearts! Happy Thursday - I hope the first week back has so far treated you well, and that you haven’t yet been tempted to shut down your computer and toss it into the pacific quite yet (only once for me, but the feeling quickly passed!) And if you have no idea what today’s subject line means, it’s OK, it means you have interests outside of the internet, and I am proud of you for that. Here’s a hint:
Apologies for the brevity of today’s Missive, I went down a Goodreads rabbit hole the morning of 2022 reading challenges and added five more books to my Want To Read shelf. My goal is 40 books this year - we’ll see how I do!
And today is the one year anniversary of the January 6th insurrection (this was my response on January 7th 2021, if you’re curious), so if, like me, all of the coverage is a lot to take in, know that it’s ok… to just not read it. Step away from the internet if you can, and take care of yourself.

And finally, back to ElmoTok - are you wondering why your TikTok feed is filled with Elmo audio takes? No, just me? Well, anyways, the piece made me chortle, so I want you to read it no matter what: Elmo is right about Rocco and it’s time we acknowledge that (Polygon)
That’s it! Here’s a photo of Orca sitting pretty, because I think you should see it. Be kind to yourself!
